Eureka! I found it!!
By this point, I'm more determined than ever to prove to him that we do NOT, in fact, have to drive 5 hours for a perfect piece of paradise. You see, when I believe I'm right (let's face it...I always am) I make damn sure I can prove it. It's the Leo in me, I guess. He's the steam engine that's run out of coal at this point and I'm the Little Engine that Could. I think I can, I think I can, I think I can, I know I can!
We've been to every site on Google at this point, so I decide I'm going in deep. Five - six pages deep into Google and you never know what you're going to find. Searching for that needle in the haystack. My qualifications for the perfect land were simple (or so I thought.) Woods, acreage, pasture, and creek within 2 hours drive of Alpharetta. Oh! and be able to use it without paying a fortune to have it cleared.
It must've been 3am because my eyes were crossing and I couldn't believe what I was seeing. A satellite view of 3.8 acres with a pasture on one side, woods, and holy shit! Is that a creek?! I zoomed in....that is ABSOLUTELY a creek and those are trails going throughout the land. "I found it!!" I told him with a look of triumph on my face. Better yet, an hour and forty-five minutes from home. I win...again!
